He noted that Bonn, as one of Germany’s important centers for science,
education, culture, and politics, has been a sister city with Chengdu since
2009. He expressed his hope that this visit would promote cooperation between
our hospital and excellent medical and educational institutions such as the
University of Bonn and its affiliated hospitals in the fields of medical
technology, talent cultivation, and scientific research innovation.
Deputy Mayor
Ursula Sauer introduced the characteristics and strengths of Bonn’s medical
field. She pointed out that both sides have a solid research foundation and
rich clinical experience in cutting-edge medical fields such as neuroscience,
geriatric diseases, and oncology, and she hoped to carry out in-depth
cooperation and strengthen academic exchanges among medical staff.
After the meeting, Deputy Mayor Ursula Sauer and her delegation visited the hospital's history exhibition hall and the clinical skills center. This visit marks a new starting point for cooperation between our hospital and Bonn in the field of medicine. On the basis of friendly cooperation, both sides will actively explore cooperative models, promote the sharing of medical resources, and complement each other's strengths to inject new vitality into the common development of the medical undertakings of both places.
