In July 2020, WCH’s Telemedicine Center completed 710 cases for group consultation, a year-on-year growth of 16.58%, with the highest number of 56 cases per day, or 32 cases per day, a record high from the founding of the center. There were 465 emergency and severe cases, accounting for 65.5%. A total of 151 experts from 37 departments participated in the telemedicine activities, and 47 cases of remote transfer treatment (namely, referred for hospitalization, outpatient service and emergency treatment) were registered.

In the post-pandemic era, WCH, with the support of the platform of Western China Regional Collaborative Medical and Health Service Platform, has made full use of the advantages of tele-medicine network to introduce excellent medical resources into the grassroots units, and save the cost and time of patients and their families when gaining access to WCH’s high-quality medical services.
